Botox & Filler Experts Rhode Island

Our Mission

Simply Injectables RI is Rhode Island’s most experienced Botox and dermal filler clinic — and one of the most decorated injectable practices in the country. As a Top 250 Allergan Diamond provider, we rank in the top 1% of all med spas in the United States out of more than 44,000 practices nationwide. That isn’t a marketing claim. It’s a verified ranking earned by real patient volume, real results, and over 15 years of daily clinical injectable experience.

We started as a hyper-focused injectable spa specializing in Botox and dermal fillers — and we have never lost that focus. But we have grown. Today Simply Injectables also offers BBL Hero light therapy, advanced microneedling, IPL photofacial treatments, Radiesse, Hyperdilute Radiesse, biostimulators including Sculptra, Kybella, and medically supervised semaglutide and tirzepatide weight management — all under the same roof, delivered by the same trusted team, with the same commitment to natural, refreshed results that have defined us from day one.

Our goal has always been simple: give every patient access to the most experienced providers and the most advanced treatments at a price point that is accessible to everyone. Because of our volume and our Allergan partnership, we receive significant manufacturer discounts — and we pass every dollar of those savings directly to you. Experience this level. Price it fairly. That is Simply Injectables.

Richard Kratzenberg, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Richard M. Kratzenberg, PA-C, is one of the most experienced Botox and dermal filler injectors in Rhode Island, with a clinical career in cosmetic injectables that began in 2009. As a board-certified Physician Assistant and the founder of Simply Injectables RI, Richard has spent over 15 years refining the art of natural-looking Botox, lip fillers, cheek fillers, and full-face rejuvenation — treating approximately 20 patients per day across two thriving practices.

Richard’s journey into aesthetic injectables started where few others can claim: pain management. Fresh out of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where he earned his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies, Richard received his first formal training in Botox injections for medical applications — including headache treatment and masseter injections for jaw slimming — skills that laid an unusually rigorous clinical foundation for his future in aesthetics.

Seeking deeper expertise in skin, Richard went on to train under a nationally renowned dermatologist in New York City — a mentor who was, by any measure, well ahead of his time. Under his guidance, Richard mastered cheek filler injections, advanced botulinum toxin techniques, topical treatments, and laser therapies at a time when many of these approaches hadn’t yet entered mainstream aesthetic training. Trusted to independently run dermatology offices in Park Slope, Brooklyn and on 86th and Park in Manhattan, Richard developed the kind of high-volume, high-precision skillset that simply cannot be taught in a weekend course.

That expertise followed him to Denver, Colorado, where he joined a local medical spa and helped build it into a top 20 Allergan clinic in the United States — out of over 44,000 med spas nationwide. Recognizing it was time to build something of his own, Richard founded Simply Injectables in Denver in 2014. For over a decade, he flew to Denver monthly — working Friday through Monday and seeing upwards of 120 patients per visit — growing the clinic into a beloved institution and training four injectors who now co-own and operate the business.

When his partner’s career brought them to Rhode Island, Richard did what he does best: he built again. Simply Injectables RI has grown into the largest injectable clinic in Rhode Island by patient volume, earning recognition as a Top 250 Allergan Diamond partnership — a designation that places it in the top 1% of Botox and filler providers in the country. At one point the combined clinics ranked in the top 100 Allergan practices in the US — out of 44,000 competitors.

What sets Richard apart isn’t just volume — it’s philosophy. His approach to Botox, lip filler, cheek filler, jawline contouring, Radiesse, Hyperdilute Radiesse, and full-face injectable treatments is rooted in a commitment to natural, refreshed results that build beautifully over time. He and his team conduct quarterly training sessions with leading plastic surgeons, dermatologists, nurse practitioners, and master injectors to ensure their techniques remain at the forefront of the field.

Because Simply Injectables operates at significant scale, Richard is able to leverage manufacturer-level pricing from Allergan and other top aesthetic brands — and passes those savings directly to patients. His belief is simple: everyone deserves access to skilled, safe, and beautiful injectable treatments. Low prices here are not a reflection of inexperience — they are a reflection of volume, loyalty, and a genuine commitment to making aesthetic medicine accessible to all.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Darlene Amoroso, BA RN

Registered Nurse

Darlene Amoroso brings something to the aesthetic chair that is genuinely rare in a med spa setting: nearly a decade of specialized injectable experience built on top of 26 years as a registered nurse in one of the most demanding clinical environments imaginable — the critical care unit at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. When your nursing career is built around caring for critically ill children, precision, sterile protocol, and composure under pressure aren’t skills you develop — they become second nature. That foundation is present in everything Darlene does.

A graduate of Providence College, Darlene joined Simply Injectables and trained directly under Richard Kratzenberg, PA-C — one of the most experienced injectable providers in the country — before building one of the most loyal patient followings in Rhode Island. Seeing 15 to 20 patients per day, her cumulative hands-on experience with Botox, Dysport, and the full Juvederm family of dermal fillers places her well beyond the experience level of most injectors currently practicing in aesthetic medicine.

Her formal injectable training is equally impressive. Darlene is certified through the Allergan Medical Institute Hands-On Training Program in the complete Juvederm portfolio — including Voluma XC, Volux XC, Volbella, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Vollure, and Skinvive — meaning she is credentialed in every product in one of the most comprehensive filler families available. She has also completed dedicated Botox and Dysport training and holds certifications in two of the most advanced device-based treatments offered at Simply Injectables: Collagen P.I.N. microneedling certification through Induction Therapies and the Sciton mJoule Operator Training Certification for BBL Hero — the gold-standard light-based skin rejuvenation platform.

Darlene’s specialty is the art of facial balance. Her favorite patient is someone who has never had filler before — a fresh canvas where she can assess facial structure holistically, identify asymmetries, and create true harmony using strategic placement across the cheeks, lips, jawline, chin, and under-eye areas. She approaches every face as a whole, not a collection of isolated concerns, and the results have earned her a fiercely loyal following that has returned to her chair for years.

She is equally sought after for corrective injectable work — specifically dissolving and reversing filler from patients who have been overfilled elsewhere. Restoring a natural, balanced appearance from a heavily treated face is among the most technically demanding work in aesthetic medicine, and it is a testament to Darlene’s anatomical understanding and clinical skill that patients seek her out specifically for this.

Beyond injectables, Darlene offers advanced microneedling using Collagen P.I.N. — a faster, more comfortable, and more effective next-generation microneedling technology that outperforms traditional devices for skin texture, acne scarring, fine lines, and collagen stimulation — and BBL Hero treatments via the Sciton mJoule platform, the most advanced IPL photofacial technology available for sun damage, redness, pigmentation, and overall skin rejuvenation.

Darlene’s commitment to continuing education goes beyond the mandatory quarterly training sessions all Simply Injectables providers complete. She pursues independent study on her own time — researching emerging techniques and refining her approach because better outcomes for her patients are what genuinely motivate her. Her passion, in her own words, is elevating her clients’ confidence — helping them look their best while celebrating their natural features.

A note for new patients in Rhode Island: Due to current Rhode Island regulations governing RN injectors, new patients are required to first be seen by Richard Kratzenberg, PA-C or Michelle Leveillee, AGACNP before scheduling with Darlene. We know that adds a step and we appreciate your patience — because once you are in our practice, Darlene’s schedule is absolutely worth it. Existing patients may continue to book with Darlene directly.

Michelle G. Leveillee, MSN, APRN-AGACNP

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Michelle G. Leveillee is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) and aesthetic specialist bringing a clinical depth to cosmetic medicine that is genuinely rare in a med spa setting. Trained in Botox, dermal fillers, IPL photofacial, BBL Hero, advanced microneedling, biostimulators, and medically supervised GLP-1 and GIP weight management, Michelle combines a precision-first clinical mindset with an artist’s eye for natural, balanced results.

Michelle earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Rhode Island College (2018) and currently serves as a Nurse Practitioner in Surgical Services and the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at The Miriam Hospital — meaning her understanding of anatomy, physiology, and patient safety goes far beyond the aesthetic industry standard.

Her signature treatment specialties are advanced light-based skin rejuvenation and medical-grade microneedling — two of the most sought-after, clinically proven approaches to skin renewal available today. If you have heard of IPL photofacial treatments, BBL is its more powerful and precise evolution — and BBL Hero (BroadBand Light High Energy Rapid Output) is the latest and most advanced version available. BBL Hero delivers four times the speed, three times the peak power, and two times the cooling capacity of standard BBL — meaning faster sessions, more comfortable treatments, and dramatically better results than traditional IPL photofacials. Michelle is trained and certified on the BBL Hero platform, making Simply Injectables one of the few Rhode Island practices offering this gold-standard light therapy for sun damage, redness, hyperpigmentation, age spots, and uneven skin tone.

When it comes to microneedling, while many clinics use SkinPen as their standard device, Simply Injectables uses CollagenPin by Induction Therapies — a more advanced, faster, and significantly more comfortable next-generation microneedling technology that delivers superior collagen stimulation with less downtime. Whether you are addressing acne scarring, fine lines, enlarged pores, or overall skin texture, CollagenPin outperforms traditional microneedling devices in both comfort and results. Michelle is certified through Induction Therapies and brings the same clinical precision to every microneedling session that she brings to the treatment room at The Miriam Hospital.

In addition to BBL Hero and microneedling, Michelle is also trained on the Lutronic laser platform, offering laser hair removal, spider vein treatment, angioma removal, and skin resurfacing — giving patients a truly comprehensive approach to skin health under one trusted provider.

When it comes to injectables, Michelle’s expertise in Botox and dermal fillers means patients can address both dynamic wrinkles and lost facial volume in the same chair. Whether you are exploring preventative Botox for the first time, restoring fullness with lip filler, cheek filler, or jawline contouring, or targeting skin quality concerns with BBL Hero or microneedling, Michelle builds every treatment plan around your individual anatomy and goals.

Michelle is also a central provider for Simply Injectables’ biostimulator offerings — one of the fastest-growing and most clinically important categories in modern aesthetic medicine. Biostimulators like Sculptra and Radiesse work fundamentally differently from traditional fillers: rather than immediately replacing lost volume, they stimulate your body’s own collagen and elastin production, rebuilding facial structure gradually from within for results that are natural-looking and long-lasting — often lasting two years or more. Michelle’s clinical background in physiology and acute care medicine means she understands how tissue responds at a biological level, not just a cosmetic one. This is what separates a truly great biostimulator result from an average one. She incorporates biostimulators strategically into comprehensive treatment plans — addressing both structural and surface concerns together over time.

Biostimulators are also a cornerstone of Michelle’s approach to one of the most important and underaddressed concerns in aesthetic medicine today: the intersection of GLP-1 weight loss and facial health. Michelle holds certification in medically supervised GLP-1 and GIP weight management injectables and will serve as a primary provider for Simply Injectables’ semaglutide and tirzepatide program — launching soon. Her background in metabolic physiology, hormonal influences on body composition, and the downstream effects of systemic fat metabolism gives her a depth of clinical understanding that most aesthetic providers simply don’t have when approaching weight management.

She is particularly focused on what is often overlooked in GLP-1 treatment: research has confirmed that GLP-1 receptors are present in the superficial fat pads of the face — the same compartments responsible for the fullness, lift, and youthful contour of the cheeks, temples, and under-eye area. As GLP-1 medications accelerate fat metabolism throughout the body, facial fat goes with it. The result can be hollowing, sagging, and a face that looks older than the body it’s attached to — commonly known as Ozempic face. Michelle addresses this proactively and systematically, pairing every weight management patient with a Sculptra biostimulator assessment to protect and restore facial structure throughout the weight loss journey. The goal is simple: a great body and a great face. A full dedicated page on our GLP-1 and GIP weight management program is coming soon — ask us about it at your next appointment.

Michelle holds a Controlled Substances Registration through the Rhode Island Department of Health and is certified in pain management and medically supervised GLP/GIP weight management injectables. She is a certified CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor — a level of clinical credentialing that is exceptionally rare in the aesthetic space and speaks directly to the safety-first environment Simply Injectables is known for. As the senior clinical provider at Simply Injectables RI, Michelle also serves in a clinical oversight role, ensuring the highest standards of care across all treatments.

A bilingual clinician fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, Michelle is committed to making aesthetic medicine welcoming and accessible to every patient. Her approach is warm, thorough, and unhurried — she takes the time to explain every recommendation, answer every question, and ensure you feel genuinely comfortable before, during, and after treatment.

Brendan Carolan Medical Director Injector medspa ri

Brendan J. Carolan, MD

Medical Director · Board-Certified Internal Medicine, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine

Dr. Brendan Carolan brings a level of medical credentialing to Simply Injectables that is extraordinarily rare in the aesthetic space. A graduate of University College Dublin, where he earned his MB, BCh, BAO, and BMedSc with First Class Honors, Dr. Carolan holds a Doctorate in Medicine from Weill Cornell Medical College, completed his US residency and fellowship training at Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital, and is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

Dr. Carolan has served as Medical Director of Simply Injectables since its founding — overseeing both the Denver and Rhode Island locations — and is trained in Botox, dermal fillers, microneedling, and laser treatments, maintaining his clinical skill set alongside his role in medical oversight.

In practice, Dr. Carolan’s most important function at Simply Injectables is the one patients almost never need — and that’s exactly the point. Aesthetic medicine, performed well, is extremely safe. But having a physician of Dr. Carolan’s caliber available for clinical consultation means our team can handle every outcome with full medical confidence. From post-procedure swelling requiring a precisely weight-dosed oral steroid, to any question that falls outside the everyday injectable toolkit, Dr. Carolan is the resource our team calls. His background in critical care — where managing complex, high-stakes patient situations is second nature — means we are never without an answer.

At Simply Injectables, we pride ourselves on being not just exceptional injectors, but a genuinely complete medical team. Day-to-day clinical oversight is provided by Michelle Leveillee, AGACNP. Dr. Carolan’s role ensures that above that, there is always an MD with critical care training available when real medical judgment is needed. That collaborative model — the same one used throughout the best medical institutions in the country — is what separates us from a typical med spa.
